Delete Your InnerCompass Data

ℹ️ What "Delete Data" Means

When you "Delete Data", you clear all your spiritual content while keeping your account. This is different from deleting your account, which removes everything including your login credentials.

⚠️ What Happens When You Delete Your Data

The following will be permanently deleted:

  • All journal entries and spiritual content
  • Meditation sessions and progress history
  • Dream journal entries and analyses
  • All activity session data
  • Spiritual insights and AI-generated guidance history
  • All user-generated content within the app
  • Your profile preferences and settings

What Stays:

  • Your account login credentials (you can still sign in)
  • Your subscription (tied to Apple/Google; restored when you log back in)

Note: After deleting your data, you start completely fresh. You will need to accept terms and complete onboarding again.

How to Delete Your Data

Method 1: Through the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the InnerCompass app on your device
  2. Tap the "Settings" icon in the bottom navigation
  3. Scroll down to the "Actions" section
  4. Tap "Delete Data" (located below "Delete Account")
  5. Read the warning message carefully
  6. Tap "Delete My Data" to confirm
  7. You will be returned to onboarding to start fresh

Method 2: By Email Request

  1. Send an email to: support@askinnercompass.com
  2. Include the following information in your email:
    • Subject line: "Request to Delete InnerCompass Data"
    • Your account email address
    • Your full name (as registered)
    • Confirmation that you want to delete your data but keep your account
  3. We will respond within 48 hours to confirm your request
  4. Your data will be deleted within 30 days

Understanding the difference:

🔹 Delete Data (Recommended for Fresh Start)

  • Removes all your data including profile and preferences
  • Keeps your login and subscription (Apple/Google; restored on next sign-in)
  • Returns you to terms acceptance and onboarding
  • You can sign in and start completely fresh

🔹 Delete Account (Permanent Removal)

  • Removes all your content and spiritual data
  • Deletes your login credentials
  • Removes your account from the system
  • Cannot be undone
  • You cannot sign in again
